The 2nd Annual Isla® HBCU Classic is a groundbreaking three day event honoring the rich traditions of Historically Black Colleges and Universities while spotlighting excellence in gymnastics, cheer, dance, and culture.

This year, the Classic expands with the addition of the Cheer Showcase led by Black American Cheer Association (BACA), highlighting the power and artistry of Black cheer at the collegiate and club levels.

Brown Girls Do Gymnastics and the HBCU Gymnastics Alliance bring together three powerhouse collegiate gymnastics programs, each led by Black female head coaches, for an NCAA gymnastics meet on the road to Nationals. The Isla® HBCU Classic is more than a competition. It is a celebration of community, culture, and possibility in Atlanta.

Friday, March 6

• Private event at Studio Isla® for stakeholders and sponsors

Saturday, March 7

• Festival and Vendor Market featuring local and national Black and Brown owned businesses, interactive exhibits, and live entertainment

• Isla® Invitational and Academy, a gymnastics competition and showcase featuring gymnasts ages 3 to 18

• Black American Cheer Association (BACA) Collegiate and Club Cheer Showcase

Sunday, March 8

• Collegiate Gymnastics Competition featuring Fisk University and Wilberforce University, the only two HBCU gymnastics programs, alongside guest team William & Mary University

• Title of HBCU Gymnastics Champion on the line

• A historic opportunity to celebrate Fisk Gymnastics and their impact on collegiate gymnastics

The Isla® Invitational is more than a gymnastics meet. It is a celebration of excellence, community, and opportunity. Designed to bring athletes, families, and fans together, this event highlights talent while creating space for connection and growth.
